Building Your Own Pegan Recipe Book

Pegan diet is a combination of some of the principles in Paleo diet and Veganism. “Pegan” is “Paleo” and “vegan” joined together to offer another healthy diet option.

Although online bookstores now offer cookbooks specifically for pegan diet, you may want to have one that is specific to the type of dish you truly love. Double-check the ingredients and substitute as needed

When you have all your recipes, it’s time to go through the ingredients and look at the whole dish to make sure it meets the requirements of a pegan diet:

  • It is a low GI (Glycemic Index) food.
  • It is mostly fruit and/or vegetable.
  • It is NOT dairy or dairy product.
  • It is NOT gluten.
